Hallo everynyan! First time in the forum, so I just decided to post something instead of lurking.
I have a little pet project, a 2D RPG for the GB/GBC (or maybe GBA instead in a near future) called (for now) Headspace. It's just a silly game where RPG meets therapy, mental health and psychology.
For now, here's what I have planned:
- turn-based combat system with four actions based on the four types of responses to trauma: Fight, Flight, Freeze and Fawn
- an abstract-ish hub world, with portals and items that lead to different areas
- a generic short-haired protagonist with dubious gender and a white shirt
- NPCs that can react to your responses to dialogues (to a certain extent that I can write or code)
- four (for now) areas representing psychological and physical concepts, such as memory, emotion, trauma plus triggers and core beliefs
- a final battle with a mysterious entity that follows and watches over your every move in the story
Do let me know if you wanna know more about it, or we can even discuss things about it if y'all want :3
