i don't have any raw samples on hand (that i know of) that could be considered "edgy", but i'll never forget that one time that sewerslvt thought it would be a good idea to sample the video of that /r9k/ dude blowing his head apart with a shotgun

this is the very first thing i thought of when i read this thread but do not have the video on hand and have not had the video on hand for 5 years and do not wish to have that video on hand ever again
 
I have a full channel backup of Americanreject2012's videos. Not really too edgy, but strange and obscure.

Not sure if anyone knows/remembers who he is, but if you have any requests I'll grab them off my dedi and upload them somewhere.
 
Idunno tbh, the most obscure sample I've used is an infamous funny line from an old game called Final Zone 2, the English Dub of it. Recently going through all of Elden Ring's voice lines looking for usable samples for personal use but I don't think I would describe those as being obscure.
As for Edgy use of Samples go, don't think anyone will ever surpass Pseudoscorpion.
 
the best I can think of is the JPEGMAFIA track "I Just Killed A Cop Now I'm Horny" which starts with bodycam audio of a police officer getting murdered

the obvious logical conclusion to the subject of edgy samples is audio of people dying. the grind band Fluids uses a lot of classic/well circulated gore video material for their samples, including the Funkytown video. maybe you could use a politically charged killing like the Christchurch shooting (but you probably don't know how to find it lol), that would really piss off those goody two shoes kids at school.
but everyone here comes off to me as substanceless zoomers so maybe i'll just say "X sampled audio from a Trump speech about a school shooting that was pretty messed up lol"

Acting this arrogantly about your ability to find a controversial video that has been reuploaded and memed to shit thousands of times across the Internet is the exact kind of thing I would expect a "substanceless zoomer" to do.

Dang, you're right. It's almost like edginess is some kind of pointless arms race of coolness over who is the most desensitized. I was just about to brag about this super rare video of this guy called Ricardo Lopez you probably haven't heard of, but I just feel like a big dummy now.

Ok it turns out the rest are on a dead ssd... *sighhhhhh*.
Anyway, I know Nine Inch Nails is gay or whatever, but look to their multitracks for samples.
They've got unqiue sound design for sure.
The site I knew had them no longer works... so if you *really* want em, you'll have to dig on your own.
