Yes, but the DVD mans up and hides its tears, the same cannot be said for the lowly CD.

Thankfully, all my DVDs and CDs are nice and readable ! I would feel so bad if i would cause any emotional turmoil to my DVD drive!

I have three dickless women (Thinkpads), their eye (system) colors are: forest green, cyclamen & black. One's on life support (always plugged-in), the other's had her right lung (primary battery) replaced, third one's undergone lobotomy recently (system wipe).
