Hello, lurked a little bit here before but first time wanting to post something.
i'm trying to find a research paper again that i came across a few months ago.
it's a paper on some sort of "biological machine" research, i think? i did not actually read the paper before i lost its location.
i've tried googling for it using both general descriptors and specific keywords, but no luck. unfortunately i have little experience in searching scientific databases and have had no success trying that either.
The most striking feature is the cover image, which is this crappy, kinda unsettling 3d render.
it's a dog, but a bunch of its body parts have been replaced, like a sci-fi cyborg.
i specifically remember its paws having been replaced with artificial "hooves" with springs inset, looking a lot like the launcher in a pinball machine.
also, a cross-section on its torso points out a gland/bag labeled "glucose supply" (might be misremembering the exact verbiage.)
there were other body parts replaced but i don't remember them clearly.
(if it helps, the render gave the dog a black, cartoonish outline.)
I don't remember any author names or any searchable parts of the abstract, unfortunately.
no memory of the publication date or journal either.
If anyone can help me find it again, i would appreciate it greatly!
