    making music!

This is cool, the first half feels like something out of Metroid Prime. Elements of the second half reminded me of some of the music in Portal 2. Both good things. I don't really know much about making this style of music, so I have no real advice for improving it, but I like the sound...

    Favourite OST's?

Right? There are so many good tracks, courtesy of the amazing David Wise. This is another of my favorites from the series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XM8ReW9NvA

🔞 NSFW 🔞 Stable Diffusion / AI art thread

Wow some of those landscape and cityscape images are really pretty. I'm continually impressed with what these AI models can do, especially ones like this that anyone can run on their own machines locally.

    making music!

I believe that having restrictions like that only breeds creativity. Classic video game music being an obvious example. Composers for those old games made some truly magical things that probably wouldn't have been half as amazing had they not been so limited by the hardware. Semi on topic, does...

    making music!

3 separate takes, I often have at least one double for vocals in most of my tracks, and it usually sounds better (to me, anyway) using different takes.

    making music!

Are you working on a video game soundtrack, or do you just like the style? You 100% nailed the video game music menu vibes. And thanks for the kind words! I used one of Garageband's built in reverb plugins called PlatinumVerb, but to add to the effect I also have three separate vocal tracks; one...

    making music!

This is nice, definitely Toejam and Earl vibes like the other guy said. Something about some of the vocal samples reminds me of some of the menu music from Earthbound as well. There is some really cool stuff in this thread. I notice it's mostly electronic and sample based material, anyone here...

Oldschool/90s Sample CDs Archive - The motherfucking supreme ultimate collection of all time

Love this. I'm excited to play with these. I'm pretty new to sampling, I mostly use live instruments to make music, but I'm trying to get more into building tracks around samples and loops, just to learn something different. Thanks to everyone who helped compile this.

Is there a video editor for windows that isn't absolute fucking garbage?

Weird, that makes me wonder if it's something disk related since they all crash when importing, but I don't know what specifically. If something was really wrong with your disk you would know. CS6 was what, like 2013-14ish? Surely by that point 60fps would have been a standard feature in...

Is there a video editor for windows that isn't absolute fucking garbage?

This isn't helpful but I used to use Adobe Premiere and it very rarely crashed on me and I have a comparable, similarly old CPU. I also don't recall any problems with slowness aside from initial startup and rendering or if I tried to import a bunch of large clips all at once. It's been several...

Post about the site being a shit here

Oh hell yeah I didn't notice the themes in the settings, I'm on tremendously shitty internet with pretty limited bandwidth so I just switched to one of the low bandwidth themes. Top notch feature, I wish more websites would offer choices like that.

use either cdxtract (which Just Works (TM) but is pretty janky and ancient) or use awave studio (which works for 99% of formats though i've had it refuse to open 1 or 2 roland cds which cdxtract read just fine)
