Will Toledo from Car Seat Headrest caused a big stir in the indie scene recently when he revealed his fursuit on stage at Brooklyn Steel. Of course, most Car Seat Headrest fans already knew about Will's history in the furry community thanks to songs like portrait of the artist as a young fag which contain nods to it. Will has a FurAffinity, however, there's nothing on it and you have to be logged in to see the page at all, rendering it little more than a place for CSH fans to shitpost and the occasional source of drama between him and other musicians. Checking the FA onion archive, however, reveals that this page was once being uploaded to regularly, between April 2010 and May 2012.
Will uploaded a handful of images, which are included here, along with his entire discography at the time. Apparently he was uploading music to FA starting with the first Car Seat Headrest self-titled (now known as 1) and going all the way into the Twin Fantasy/Monomania era. I checked to see if any of these tracks are lost media, but it seems like they all match the versions on streaming services (save for a handful of Twin Fantasy tracks that were shortened for filesize), however, some earlier tracks have different titles in the filenames (cesare the somnambulist is called "the farm" for example). The .html files are archived descriptions Will wrote and as far as I know haven't resurfaced anywhere. Some of the ones he wrote for what would become iconic tracks are pretty funny to read now. Here's the one for bodys:
Also included are screencaps of his favorites gallery (warning: some of the thumbnails are NSFW) and userpage as it looks now, along with a screencap of the .onion archive itself (to preserve upload dates). I wish I could compare this with earlier versions of the page but even as far back as 2015 Will had set his profile to members-only, so any archives from this period are probably lost. Still feels pretty crazy that we have a page like this from such a major artist.
