i got a few 4chan flash archives. i actually really want to upload them, they've got a lot of cool shit.

I had luck with extracting audio and video from few and then putting them back together into .webm, but some are pretty fucked up

it's all .swf and .flv, needs standalone flash player and some are broken

I got it downloaded and it's legit, but barely usable

it's hosted by archive.org, probably cobbled together from multiple crawlers

i did the same shit. it was plain html with an image of doge and some text. think i used the marquee tag too. it was on some sketchy ass mexican hosting company, i think i literally just typed in "free web host" into google and picked the first ad that came up.

Yeah, kinda sad tbh. I remember I frequented forum for Harvest Moon in my own language and we had a lot of people from different communities like Zelda or Kirby. Everyone knew everyone, despite it being several different sites

so people end up trapped in their own little bubbles

there is mainstream social media, and then there is containment sites which basically only exist to host content that you can't get away with on modern social media
