Hey I have been trying to set up RSS for comfybox to be updated on the site easier, but it seems like I'm not able to add it to my RSS reader. I think the captcha is preventing me from adding it. Am I doing something wrong or is it the site?

Can't add RSS feed to reader
I wasn't aware there was an RSS feed, that's cool - I've been trying to use innoreader as my homepage.
by capcha do you mean cloudflare or what?

Yeah exactly.

This one to be exact:

how does your rss reader work? is it local e.g. running on your own computer or from a vc?
honestly not that spectacular, I'm trying to use the Feeeed app as an alternative to social media apps. I catch myself scrolling too much too often. I know I got more options but the app seems nice

I'm the same way, I use https://www.inoreader.com/ because I didn't want to deal with running something locally since I'd be to much of a perfectionist. I'll check out feeeed it seems cool - and I'll see what I can do about the rss feed/if it works for me. (if it does instantly then its most likely your IP address and other fingerprinting things) but from what I think, it fetches locally (e.g. from the device you have it installed on) and the user agent it's running is running into cloudflare bot detection or whatnot, it's a somewhat common issue:

the only way to really fix it, is to have a scrapper generate the rss feed and you fetch it from your own place (lol more work right) or cloudlflare is configured on the forum/server side by whoever runs it to exempt the rss feed

honestly not surprised. its cloudflare fault
cloudflare is captcha hell if you try being anonymous or private mode on the net
otherwise I have no advice even amazed someone using RSS feed in 2025
RSS isn't being used enough in my opinion. Customizing your own feeds is one of the best things you can do, especially now that every other site has an exploitative recommendation system.

So I've spent a few minutes:

Are you using the direct rss feed? https://comfybox.floofey.dog/forums/-/index.rss is for here - but the app has widgets, which hosts the whole website in a "window" which I think makes it more complicated. Try the first link and see if it populates normally -
I have, I know how it works. The thing is, before it gets to the RSS feed, Cloudfare kicks in, blocking the RSS feed as it can't verify humanity. Adding the feed as a web widget makes you able to verify, but that's not the goal of the feed.
