not sure if it's appropriate to post what is essentially just a cool blog in the archive so...

id like to share plasterbrain.com here! it's been a pretty invaluable database for me. who would have figured that good musicians know stuff about music

the star of the show is definitely her free plugin database. it's basically my frame 1 go-to for when i need a specific instrument for a track, which happens a lot because im a nerd who goes "it needs a [blank]"

it's not the most exhaustive list out there, but i know that if she's put it on there, it's probably pretty good and not complete garbage. more often than not, if what i need isnt on there, its because it doesnt even exist as a free option, or even as a virtual instrument >>
the database also does a great job at helping me find out how to translate what im looking for into music software buzzwords to search for (what the fuck is an ice piano bro).

she also has a lot of beginner-focused guides that would definitely get someone on a better track than i did starting. and her glossaries are great for more musician -> english translations

This is cool thanks for sharing, the zither joke is particularly funny tho, I used to rent synths and had to look for super long specifically for a zither patch once lol.
